Paving
The paving contractor Santa Cruz counts on
Over 15 years paving driveways, parking lots, roads and sidewalks across Santa Cruz County — laid on a solid base so it lasts.
Roughly 94% of the paved surfaces in America are surfaced with asphalt, and a properly installed asphalt surface can last 20 to 25 years. The difference between paving that lasts and paving that cracks in a few winters comes down to what happens before the first load of asphalt is ever laid down.
At Santa Cruz Underground and Paving we've been paving in Santa Cruz County since 2005. We have the equipment and the crews to handle commercial and residential paving of any size — from a single driveway to a full parking lot or roadway — and we build every job on a compacted aggregate base for drainage and long-term durability.
How we approach paving
Asphalt & blacktop paving
New asphalt and blacktop installation for driveways, parking lots, private roads and public roadways. We grade and compact a proper aggregate base first, then pave and finish for a smooth, water-shedding surface built to hold up to daily traffic.
Concrete paving
Where concrete is the better fit — approaches, aprons, hardstands and heavy-load areas — we pour and finish durable concrete surfaces engineered for the job.
Paving maintenance & replacement
Seal coating, crack sealing, patching and pothole repair to extend the life of what you already have — plus full removal and replacement when a surface is past saving.
